What is West Coast Swing?
A popular partner dance in this country is West Coast Swing (WCS). Derived from the Lindy Hop, it comes in handy in narrow spaces. The WCS can be danced to nearly any style of music. Fans of R&B, blues and club music who are looking for more than just "bump & grind" are the right fit for this style. The dance is challenging, but we know how to make it easy to learn!
It is a terrific way to get out, have fun, get some exercise, and let your worries melt away. West Coast swing is a very versatile partner dance. This is because it can be danced to a wide variety of music, meaning you can dance wherever there is music, including in bars and lounges.
Most students who study once a week are encouraged to remain at that skill level for a minimum of one year.
This level is designed for people who have never taken or danced West Coast Swing. In this class, you will learn essential skills that will help you succeed in your WCS journey. Everyone is welcome to attend this class, whether you are a beginner or looking to brush up on your skills.
This level is designed for dancers with at least 2+ years of experience dancing West Coast Swing. During this class, you will learn tips and techniques to help you navigate any type of dance floor.
